A big thank you to the Mwasi Collective for its invitation to exhibit during the Nyansapo festival. This allowed me to go even further in my work on afrodiasporix and afrofeminist themes. The afrofuturistic dimension of the festival led me to step out of my comfort zone and my usual pictorial practice to move towards more experimentation. I was able to present 16 paintings in a series entitled « Black lights & flowing Cyclones », where intentions, fights, slogans, cyclonic depression and flamboyance mingle to form an impacting whole between abstraction and textual art. I am very touched by the welcome received, and it was a magnificient experience.
